Mrs. Disneycollection got me two new books for Christmas. First up is "South of the Border with Disney". The book retells the stories behind the trips to South America as part of the Good Neighbor Program, which was initiated and guided by Nelson Rockefeller as head of the Coordinator of Inter-American Affairs (CIAA), a new government post created by President Roosevelt in 1940. Fans are probably more familiar with the results of this trip. The two films Saludos Amigos and The Three Caballeros.I also received a copy of "Wally Boag: Clown Prince of Disneyland" (an autographed copy, no less). Wally spent 27 years of his career working at the Golden Horseshoe in Disneyland and was there on opening day. The book follows his life from birth to the current day - yep, Wally is still with us. And, the best part is the book is jammed with photos. Currently, this book is only available thru the Wally Boag web site.
Guess I'd better get busy reading.
