It seems like I've been trying to track down this book for the past year. Every time I find it on Amazon, it quickly disappears within the week. But, while roaming Barnes and Noble last night, Mrs. Disney Collection spotted a copy on the bargain table. My joy in finally finding a copy were quickly dashed as I started digging into the details.Little-Known Facts About Well-Known Places: Disneyland comes in at exactly 200 pages. With one "fact" per page that brings us in at about 190 facts. Nothing new is presented in this book. We've all seen these secrets and behind-the-scenes knowledge presented in other forums before. There were several times in which I raised an eyebrow and asked "Is this true?" and there are a couple of facts that are flat-out wrong. The author also strays away from facts and ventures into rumor and speculation in several postings.
Once I spot a single error in this type of book, I begin to doubt everything else that's been presented. Also, the book contains no bibliography therefore making it impossible to double-check the "facts".
Disappointing.
